Have you considered putting your songs on a regular USB drive that's formatted for FAT32? That's what I use in my 2019 CR-V, and it works pretty great!

A compact 64GB drive on Amazon will run you about $15. I've used SanDisk Cruzer Fit drives, but I'm not sure if you can buy those still. If you search for "PNY Elite-X Fit", that seems to be pretty similar size/fit. Very easy to insert and then close the little flip-down door covering the drive port in your center armrest console.

I saved my favorite music on the USB drive in "first level" folders named by artist, and then used my "Mp3tag" program (free to download from the programmer's website) to rename my music so the Release Year and Album Name is part of each song's filename. Your Honda will index each folder name, so I would suggest only using "Artist" folders in your file hierarchy, and not sub-folders by Album Name.

Lastly, I run the whole drive through my "FAT Sorter" program (free to download from Softpedia.com), which ensures that all of my folders and tracks are forced into alphabetical sorting in FAT32. If you don't do that last step, it will be harder to find the songs you're looking for when you play them in the CR-V USB music interface.

By using folders by Artist, you can use the USB Music interface in the Honda to play random by Artist.

Album Art works, but generally speaking you'll want to shrink your embedded artwork to 200x200 or 150x150 resolution to keep them small enough. For some reason the USB Music interface in the Honda does not like larger artwork files. The Mp3tag program I mentioned before will let you resize album artwork.
Very good information!
Thanks for posting.
