Navigation volume - Android Auto

Good morning,
I have a 2018 CRV Touring and it DOES have Nav.
I don't really use it as I prefer to use Google Maps via Android Auto. (I'm unsure exactly what Nav app you are using.)

Like yourself, I initially had an issue with the volume used for driving instructions coming from the Google Maps app on my phone.
I seemed really loud to me.

The following was suggested to me via the Google Android Auto forum.
It MIGHT be of some little help to you.

There is "Guidance voice" setting within the Google Maps app itself.
On the phone, start Google Maps.
Get into the Google Maps settings. (NOT the phone settings.)
Scroll down and tap on "Navigation Settings"
Under "Sound & Voice" (Right at the top) you will find the "Guidance Volume" selections.
You can change it from Softer to Normal to Louder.
The change is dynamic so you don't need to restart the Google Maps app for it to take affect.
And, you can test this change immediately.
Simply scroll down a bit further and tap on "Play test sound"
Trying this out, but I don't think I have an issue with guidance volume....
I got as far as starting Google Maps. Cannot find the maps settings. LOL...

Yeah took me a moment to figure it out lol. Open Google Maps. In the TOP RIGHT corner you will see a colored circle with your initial inside. Tap that. Then select Settings on the menu that opens. From there select Navigation Settings. At the top is where you select SOFTER, NORMAL, LOUDER. Further down is Play Test Sound.
Thanks! Not sure why they hide things like this.
