Honda filters are just rebranded Fram Tough Guard filters, Fram Ultra is actually better filter as are any premium filter. The only way a filter can void your warranty is if the filter should fail and be the cause of the engine damage. Just using a non Honda filter does not void your warranty. If it makes you feel better just use Honda to change your oil during the warranty period.
