I have less then 3000 miles on my CRV since the most recent oil change. No oil stains in garage, none on the engine, no issues other than the dash telling me I’ve only got 15% life. Any ideas on why? Thanks.

i would suggest not to follow the oil life indicator.
it's not accurate.
we have some posts here in regards about it.
one owner reported i believe it's the same percentage or 25%.
he was saying how come the percentage is saying 25% the dipstick does not have any oil on it?
especially in the 1st Generation that has this it's very inaccurate.
one Ridgeline owner told me that he followed the oil percentage & the cam lobes got ruined.
i hope this explains more.
i hope this helps.

Here's the thing... Direct Injection leads to dirtier oil, polluted with sot. With Honda's NA motors, I'd go no longer than 5K miles between oil changes.

Now, add Forced Induction to the formula. The oil is going to sot up even faster. Oil changes on a turbo charged motor should be done every 3-4K miles.

Not changing the oil frequently enough will lead to dirty intake ports/valve backs and dirty/stained/sludge caked engine internals. This type of build up is wearing on the moving parts and therefore, shortening the engine life as well as lowering the fuel economy.

To answer the OPs question...

Perhaps the maintenance minder wasn't reset at the last oil change, OR the computer detects harder use on the drivetrain. It can calculate and make adjustments to the maintenance scheduling.
