Hi, I'm looking for some oil viscosity recommendations for my rd1 cr-v sitting at 240000 Kms. The car's currently running 10w40 that I had laying around, but its time for an oil change and looking what to buy.
Looking at the owner's manual for my temp (anywhere from 15 to touching 40C in melb). 10w40, 15w40/50, 20w40/50 is recommended.
The problem is I can't decide which one to buy for engine longevity, the car's going through the wringer doing upwards of 150 kms everyday in city traffic in 30-40C temps.
Was wondering what you guys are running and what would you recommend I was thinking of 10w50, plus any advice regarding maintenance for this kind of heavy driving would also be appreciated. Cheers.
