Sorry for the lenght but I tried to remember everything I did. Here go's:
My wife’s 2009 CRv EX AWD with 116500 miles developed a check engine light with a rough idle. My neighbor has a scanner and he read the P0507 code, high idle rpm. I found a major leak in the large intake hose and replaced it. I was hoping this would take care of the problem. It didn't. I used carb cleaner on all the vacuum hoses and everything was fine, no increase in rpm. I ran the idle relearn and still had the fault. I then cleaned the electric throttle body and mass air flow sensor with the correct cleaners and did the relearn. No luck. Idle still bounced between 1000 and 1200 rpm with the check engine light on. At this point, I bought a Harbor Freight Scanner of my own. I then bought some ATP AT-100 intake blast cleaner and ran that thru. No Luck. I took off the throttle body and cleaned it properly. Put a new gasket on and buttoned everything up. After running the throttle relearn again, I replaced the PCV valve and its hose. Still had the high idle and check engine light on. I bought a new electronic throttle body and decided to drain my coolant since I lost some with the swap. I burped my radiator and topped it off with new coolant. This made no change. I bought a new Denso Mass Air Flow Sensor and again did the relearn. No good. I also checked all the harness connectors to make sure they were all tight. While I had replaced the NGK spark plugs at 100,000 miles, I pulled them and found cyl 4’s plug was bad. The electrode would float in and out of the casing. At this point I put new Denso plugs and coils packs in. The rough idle was eliminated but still the high idle and check engine light is on. I can clear the code and get the idle down to 800 rpm with the relearn but after 20 or 30 miles driving, the light comes back on with an increase in rpm's. Almost forgot, I also replaced the Air Assist Control Valve. Don’t know where to go next???
