The time I replaced my PS pump, the inlet was backwards out of the box. I flipped the inlet around, so it pointed in the proper direction. Later, I realized that the hose would not fit on the inlet because the size of the replacement inlet was too big in diameter. I reused my old inlet.

Seems typical for an aftermarket parts experience. They sometimes make a one size fits many design, and it may become an intelligence test to be able to install it. Someone at your mechanics shop failed that test.

Good luck on your broken/stuck spark plug boot. Sounds like a good excuse to buy more tools.

lol, i ordered an inlet for a accord, it should point more up in the vertical direction. hopefully they are all the same dia. I'll find out next week. its been a fiasco. oh well. thanks again

A lot of people on here complain when a shop screw up. It’s nice that you actually posted pictures of the screwup for everyone to see.

Lol. Look on the bright side, it’s always nicer to learn from someone else’s screwup than from your own screwup.… so we’re currently sadly laughing with you, instead of at you.

No offense, but I would not be completely happy with that. Hose looks partially kinked. it does look like it will solve your problem with rubbing of the belt though.
