Rear parking sensors & Tow Bar

Hi

I just purchased a 2015 CR-V and would rather have a fixed swan bar to save £100 and also save hassle removing. Do the sensors work OK and not go off continually with a fixed bar ?

I Have a 2013 with a fixed tow bar, and the sensors do not go off all the time.

The reversing camera goes into the red and a continuous beep sounds even when there's no obstruction behind. The tow bar and bumper are visible on the camera screen. If I lift the boot lid this does not happen. Is this a camera fault?
