My 2013 crv ex-l has 130k miles. I'm told I should have the timing belt changed, is this something that's necessary. I plan on keeping this car for a while longer.

Just got the timing cover off after using the heavy wall socket, then there was the stuck pivot bolt where I had to bump it a few times with a hammer and chisel. waiting or part to reassemble. Hoping the valves didn't tap the piston. then compression check and finally if the valves hit the piston I would think the clearance on the valves tappet would increase because the valve doesn't close all the way.
