Unable to open drivers door from inside

I am having this same issue.
I just got my 98 CR-V, the former owner had taken it all apart and his wife even threw away the door panel.

I just got new latch, handle and door panel from the junk yard.
Put it all back together and worked a couple of times and will not open from the inside again!

This is my first Honda, so I have another question.
Mine does not have a key fob so I do not think it came with this option.
is the lock switch on the driver's door supposed to unlock all 4 doors?
also, should I be able to unlock all 4 doors with the key if I turn it a couple of times?

I hear a click when I try to use the lock switch on the driver's door, but it does not affect the other doors.

I took the door apart, and bent the rod that goes to the inside handle. Bending it shorten it up enough that I got a full pull on it. The door works great if you lock it manually either with the key or by pushing down the lock from the inside. If you use the switch it can cause it to stick and you have to play with it a little bit to get it to work again. But manually it works cherry.

Sounds like the actuator maybe weak. They're $17 Amazon. May be worth a shot.
To add: there may be an ideal rod adjustment for manual use and one for actuator operation. You may find a happy medium for both to work in an acceptable fashion. I use the fob/switch 99.9% of the time and would adjust toward that end.
thanks, mine does not have a fob.
I do not believe mine came with that option.
Is there a way for me to tell?
