2003 Honda CRV EX K24a1 4x4
This is an on going problem that I've been dealing with. Anytime you put gas in the car it wont start unless you pump the gas pedal and it will imideatly stall if you dont keep the rpms over 1,000. I also have code P1457
I've been searching for fixes for the issue but I haven't been able to correct the problem. I've replaced EVAP canister purge valve. I also replaced the charcoal canister that also came with a new purge valve on it. Most fixes I find online are for getting rid of the code but not for fixing the "failing to start" problem. I made a post on facebook about this issue and one person told me that replacing their fuel pump assembly fixed their issue but that's an expensive (but easy) fix that I can't understand how that would fix it. So I'm asking if anyone knows if that would work.
The wires on this were both cut at the connector when I bought the car. I De-pinned the connector and re-crimped the pins back onto the wires but I do not know what orientation the wires should go. I put the colors how I did it but I tried both ways and it did not change anything. The colors shown are how I left it. Yellow/green wire on left and red/white on right.
