2011 CR-V Bluetooth options?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a second hand 2011 CR-V EX-L and I'm looking at options for using Bluetooth audio integrated with the audio controls of the factory deck. The deck in my CR-V doesn't support Bluetooth.

I have a small Anker Bluetooth adapter that I bought from Amazon that I can plug into the Aux input. That works fine, but I have to turn it on each time I get in the car and it doesn't integrate with the factory deck. Mainly I'd like to see the track title on the deck, fast forward to the next track, etc.

Are there any options that don't involve replacing the deck? I'm hoping there's a clever Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the USB input?

Thanks.

I just put this one in my 2010 CR-V a couple of weeks ago.

It connects through the head unit or if you don't use XM radio, through the XM receiver, which is to the side and underneath the glove box. Just have to pull off a panel to get to it. It is just plug and play. It was really easy to hook up (took less than 20 minutes) and it connects automatically when I get in the car. It shows the songs on the stereo and the steering wheel controls still work. However, to skip the track, you have to press & hold the steering wheel button instead of just pushing it like normal. Not too much of a hassle, but still something worth mentioning.
I recommend it, because it is cheaper than replacing the whole unit and back up camera and everything else that goes along with it. It sounds great, and you can control the music from the stereo or from your phone.

That looks promising. It's more than I was hoping to spend but if it works well, it'll be worth it.

What phone are you using it with? There's not a lot of compatibility info on the product listing. I want to make sure that recent iPhones will work.

Thanks!

Glad to hear that you got one and are enjoying it! I am very happy with mine as well.

I didn't really mount mine. I just plugged it into the XM receiver and crammed it and the cable all up in the little space above the receiver. It seems to be fine in there, as I don't hear any rattling or anything.

So, I have a 2011 Honda CRV EXL with a navigation screen, and I'll be d*mned if I can figure out where the XM tuner is located (without pulling off the navigation screen.)

I've pulled off the side panel under the glove box, and the side panel under the driver's side. Every cable I was able to find, wasn't the correct cable.

I purchased the exact same bluetooth kit that was linked here, and none of the cables match up. Can anyone here actually walk me through this step by step? I'm rather frustrated that this was supposed to be easy, and has turned into a sour project.
