Fake OEM Honda Fluids? Preston instead of Honda Brake Fluid?

I'm changing most fluids other than engine oil soon (coolant, automatic transmission, differential & brake). Some online eBay sellers' prices are significantly better than my local dealers making them worth considering. As there is always a risk of fake items online, has anyone seen an issue with fake Honda fluids out in the market? I'm specifically buying ATF DW1, Honda Type 2 coolant & Dual Pump II for a 2007 CRV if that matters.

Also, I'm considering going with Prestone Synthetic Brake Fluid DOT 3 instead of Honda. Should I not?
Similarly, does Honda 50/50 premixed coolant in a sealed coolant have a shelf life? Not sure how long some of the online sellers have a had the product.

Thank you in advance. Y'all are awesome!

Non-Honda brand brake fluid is OK so long as it meets the requirements in your handbook. DOT3 is the acceptable fluid. Same with motor oil, engine filter, cabin filter.

Using Honda-brand fluids for all your other applications as you have stated should be the norm for everyone.

As you can see with many forum members, click on your avatar in the upper right hand corner --> Account Settings, --> Vehicle Details. Complete for your vehicle, the hit Save. in this manner, that vital piece of information automatically appears each time you post. With 6 generations of the V on the road today, knowing the year & trim level of the vehicle in question helps those asking & those willing to respond.

Enjoy your "new" ride.

OEM fluids are fine, but many aftermarket fluids are just as good, if not better, and they're usually way more convenient to find if you ever need more.

I've read a lot of recommendations for Valvoline Maxlife in place of DW1, and if you are doing a flush of the cooling system I wouldn't foresee any issues with using a universal anti-freeze instead.

The only thing on your list that I personally would insist on being genuine Honda would be the Dual Pump 2, since that stuff seems to be pretty specialized.

If you feel better with sticking with Honda's recommendations there's certainly nothing wrong with that, but you don't necessarily have to for most things.

Silicate free antifreeze such as used in Honda in a sealed container, for decades. Open, still good for many years. No problem, use what you have.

Read that antifreeze containing silicates has a shelf life, but haven't verified.

Use any national brand DOT 3 brake fluid with confidence. Flush every 2-5 years depending on environment and driving conditions
