What’s up everyone….?

So I did a search for this before posting and didnt see anything.

Just bought my 2nd Honda for kid #2 .. 2011 CRV w/ 70k miles

Got online to Rockauto and bought the ASIAN brand of ATF-DW1 …
On my Element I did the service with Honda fluid …
I didn’t even think about Honda brand when I saw the Asian brand …with the thought that is who mfg. the transmission…

I know Max Life is the preferred by some being a semi-synthetic….

But who here has tried the Aisin ATF-DW1 ?

side note: I only bought 4 qts…. so I could do the next semi change with Honda DW1

your opinions are valued 🙏

I put in valvoline maxlife after my mechanic serviced the transmission and put in non-Honda fluid and said it was fine, and after reading posts from a very knowledgeable forum member who said that’s what he uses. I just did it this year and so far no problems, but now actually I’m regretting not using Honda fluid. I read some information on valvoline maxlife that it is an older AT specification that the original formulator no longer uses. I think I should be fine. The problem is I’m second guessing myself (and I have a few more changes worth of the valvoline maxlife). I will probably change it every 2 years and then put in honda again.
