2013 EX-L Subwoofer install

Hello all, I've been reading a lot of great posts here relating to the installation of an aftermarket subwoofer and amp in my CR-V. I have a 2013 EX-L RES (not nav) and just removed my subwoofer (Boston G5 12"), amp (Pioneer Premiere GM-7150M) and head unit from my old Accord that I've recently sold. I'd like to install the sub and amp in the CR-V but I'm looking to keep the stock head unit to keep it clean looking and fully functional (like bluetooth, steering wheel controls, hands-free, RES connectivity, etc).

Since I'm using the stock head unit, I know I need a line out converter, and I already have the RCAs and power/ground cables. Just thought I'd double check with the experts here if I am on the right track and not needing anything else, mainly because there are so many more features in this head unit that I don't want to screw up.

This looks like the simplest way to go about this:
Add An Amp Amplifier Adapter Interface Accord Civic Pilot TSX TL CRV FIT Honda | eBay

Am I missing anything, or are there any quirks with this model I should know about? I'm just looking for some bass since the stock subwoofer is practically non-existant.

Thank you!

That is a nice harness. I wish I knew about it before I installed mine.

When I had the stock HU, I used the Scoche line level out with gain control. It worked fine. I tapped into the inputs to the stock waste of space sub under the passenger seat.

This looks like a good option for about the same price.

Need a little help, I received the harness today and installed it. I ran the power, RCAs and ground over the weekend. Plugged it all into the head unit and amp and get almost no sound from the sub at all! There is a tiny amount of movement, but that's all. I checked the voltage going to the amp and it is good. The ground appears to be good. What am I missing? Here's a pic of the LOC that came prewired into the harness.

Just in case anyone has similar trouble in the future and is searching this forum for help, I ended up bypassing the crappy LOC that came with the harness and wired the amp using high level inputs instead. Fixed the problem right away. I also tried moving the sub around to a few different locations in the back including rear facing and side facing, but had the best result with front facing.

I have the same car 2013 CRV EX-L no navigation and I was convinced that our cars have already an amplifier. Is your OEM head unit like this photo? Do you have an oem amplifier with these connectors?

I believe it does have an amplifier for the anemic subwoofer, but I didn't mess with it at all. I did not remove any of the cables other than the main harness so I only have this top down view of the back of the head unit. I assume the whole range is sent to the front speakers (where I tapped in for the hi level to my amp), and I'm not missing any of the low bass, right?
