You guys don't have to restart the car, i have this issue all the time in my 2017. If you hold the volume knob down for 20 seconds, you can force a restart of the nav system. This happens to me a lot while driving, but when i restart the screen or replug in the phone a second time it stops disconnecting. I have an iPhone 8 and use Apple Music and Apple Maps.

Hey guys,

UPDATE: i think i may have resolved my issue with the constant disconnect. I turned OFF the music from my icloud and my iphone has not disconnected since. I found in a random forum that someone spoke to Apple and their official statement was that for some reason this would sometime disrupt apple carplay. So turn off the music feature in your icloud if you have it on to see if that fixes it. I've driven 8 hours since without any disconnect from full restarting of the car. It has been stable since.

I have an iPhone 8 plus with latest iOS 11 release and a CRV 2017. Good Luck!
