There arw a few threads on this and the injectors are very common . Friend whos a master tech gets them in alot for uber and lyft guys thst put cheap gas in.

in the us emissions might cover it by state laws (diff miles) the injectors and the ac issues are the only reason i got the hondacare extended(not that i plan to keep it past 50k

call honda corp and open a ticket BEFORE U PAY and u can have them negotiate down a lower cost.

This "Christmas Tree" display is often caused by a bad battery, or battery connections.
If all those computers see bad supply voltage, they start to do odd things.
But I'd be surprised if a dealership didn't check this, it's a fairly common occurrence.
But check your battery, under load, first, as well as the connections to same.

thank you, I had read before I took back to Honda the second time to check my battery. They said they did, and came up with the fuel injector problem. I also had just yesterday my screen on my audio flashing thru display settings and I hadn’t even touched it.

Hard to imagine how an injector could show up as a power steering or a TPMS problem.
But everything's interconnected I guess.

 

Totally agree, technology is great but it seems that they can’t figure out how to let them know what the problem is. None of those lights have anything to do with injectors, what happened to good ol check engine light. I have only driven Honda’s since 1988. First time ever I have had issues. Most accords, and odyssey’s ran without repairs of any kind way above 200,000 kilometres.

 

The battery issue (which lights the warning indicators because they need to re-calibrate themselves due to low voltage) can be intermittent.

If you feel the need to troubleshoot, have the battery LOAD TESTED.

If you have already replaced the battery, be sure to verify that the terminals are tight. Many replacement batteries have smaller-than-OEM terminal posts, and require battery SHIMS. SEARCH 'Twist test".

If the battery checks out, for sure contact Honda Canada before paying for injector replacement, as early Gen5s seem to need injectors and Honda uses revised replacements.

EDIT: Some folks here would recommend replacing any Gen5 battery over 3 years old....

 

If it were me and the original battery was 4 years old, especially if you have not been driving much lately, I would just replace the battery. You are due anyway and this is a cheap attempt at fixing the blinking light problem.

 

As recommended here above, if it's the original battery, replace it.

 

Agreed, I have had other cars with the Christmas tree light syndrome, a new battery, preferable not a crappy Honda battery will fix the issue. Find another shop for any future work on your Honda, those techs have zero troubleshooting skills.

 

I've got 52k on mine now so I keep thinking about the whole fuel injector thing. If I'm past my original warranty but have the HondaCare extended will it cover them?

Off the top of my head, I don't recall if we have had a member post about HondaCare covering the injectors, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Probably best to read the documentation for included items and excluded items.

What if I replace them and three weeks later it goes off again. Her answer was the parts are warranted for 20,000kms. I don’t feel like paying the price while they check to see if it’s the problem or not. Has anyone experienced this with their Honda dealer. Could it be the oil/fuel issue ruining my injectors? If so shouldn’t Honda cover this even though my warranty passed due to age of car and I am just over my 60,000 kms? Weird part is my car runs perfectly fine. My Honda mechanic says he has rarely ever replaced a fuel injector.

Salutations: We own a 2017 CRV we have had the same issue, first time it happened it was winter at idle my wife was sitting in the vehicle while I was in the post office, so after the advise of Honda i replaced the battery but a couple months later it happened again local Honda techs have been mystified and would reset the codes but lately it has been occurring weekly so this week they replaced the injectors, not sure about your CRV but the only time it occurs is when sitting at idle say at a stop light it has never occurred while in motion, having my foot on the brake seems to expedite the issue.. so far it has not happened but we just got it back 2-days ago my concern is we are 1800miles from 100,000 miles and loosing our extended warranty

our 2017 cr-CRV has exact same issue starting at 75k miles. First time I took it in they changed oil and reset computer. 60days later happened again and they did software update and replaced camshaft (under an extended warranty service bulletin). 30d later, today, the dashboard is lit up again. I have video to show them if it stops miraculously before I get it to the dealer. any suggestions are appreciated.

 

Welcome to the Forum.
Your symptoms sound a LOT like what people get from a dying or failed battery. Most often known as the "Christmas Tree". Once that is corrected the alarms clear themselves in about 15 minutes.
If you are still running on the original battery I'd replace it immediately, just based on age.
If not, have your battery tested under load, realizing that even a bad battery can test good under some conditions.

Got the same issue, been to 3 dealers, 2 couldn't fix problem and the third advised the fuel injectors need to be replaced for $1500.00. Have a 2017 CRV Touring with 120,000 kilometers. Can't figure out if this is legit or not. They got you over a barrel unless your a Honda Mechanic. Any suggestions.

I'm experiencing the same problem described. Under warranty but just took it to me local mechanic as I felt it was unsafe to drive. Took me a while to release the parking brake and it runs rough. Coincidentally it happened right after I did an oil change.

 

Are you running the original battery?

 

I had the same thing happen on my 2018 EXL. The original OEM battery died at 36k. Got a new aftermarket battery and all is back to normal. It was strange to see for the first time this happen with all the lights on. Wasn't sure if it was safe to drive but talked to my mechanic and he said it was fine. Drove to auto parts store and got a new battery. Installed it and back on the road. Got a battery cleaning kit, clean both cables (plus cable needed it) and coated cables after install to protect them. With these newer cars, the battery condition is much more important. I have been checking regularly now.

 

Online is and can be your friend. You need to look at a site that has the people who have and own the equipment you need advice on. I for one will always take the time to investigate Online for information.

 

You can get excellent advice online, but you have to be careful.
If someone, no matter how "expert", tells you to put some type of fluid in your vehicle that is not recommended by its maker, find another video.
