I thought about an "Ahhoooga" klaxon, but I'm not sure if people today would recognize it as a vehicle horn.
Kind of like would anyone know what you were doing if you gave a hand signal before a turn? I doubt it.
I had to demonstrate hand signals during my driving test.
I also had to parallel park, on both sides, another skill that's gone down the tubes.
I had the same thought. They were a popular change out when I was in high school.

But now days... it probably would create more confusion than it solves. :p

So I think Ahhoooga has gone the way of the 8 track tape, cassettes, and more and more CDs, not to mention carburetor, points, condenser and spark plug changes every 12K miles.

The new generation reaching driving age probably wants horns with downloadable sound choices over the air, on demand, via the head unit. :ROFLMAO: But of course horns are a safety device and federally regulated to some degree for safety compliance.

Sheryl Crow was clearly not telling the whole truth about Sunset Blvd then......Venice Beach any better? LOL
The Strand in Venice Beach has become "homeless row". Muggings and other offenses have occurred daily. Law enforcement comes through to clear them out, then they just move down a ways a little farther to reassemble. It's my understanding that the homeless problem has become a global concern. It certainly is a country wide concern over here across The Pond.

A lot of legal "dispensaries" at Venice Beach these days. True hippy hangout.
There were plenty of "dispensaries" when I was there in the 80s.
But they weren't legal.

I was struck while waiting for the car ahead of me to move. The other car did not hear me honking. My CR-V horn sounds like the Roadrunner from the cartoons; like a clown car. Has anyone replacerd their horn with a "real" horn?
Its about average for a Honda. Try a Nissan Cube sometime.......that is less than a childs squeeze-bulb bicycle horn........

as one bump

College Hills Honda has a direct plug-and-play replacement.
No. They don't. They have none.

Edit: Sorry this offends some of you. Just wanted to say that they don't have any. Typical of the covid era. So many items out of stock everywhere.
I certainly did not expect to be warned that I have broken the rules buy merely saying it so bluntly.

The College Hills kit
includes a PIAA Slimline Sports Horn pair, mounting hardware and two special plug and play harnesses. I installed the kit which was quick and easy but expensive.

So they do stock and sell them, it's just that they are currently out of stock. There is a difference.
