Lots of folks use Sam's or Costco for tires- usually noticeably cheaper for same tires. Those are always good down here where I live- so I assume the same for up in the NE.
You might try asking around locally to see who has a good reputation. Don't trust Google reviews on local shops- they can write their own reviews and fluff their services.

Hi, we use Michelin Cross Climate they’ve been great so far, 4 years in and over 15k and we live in rural area - potholes a plenty and A-roads aren’t perfect by a long way?!
Also Carterton tyres in Oxfordshire are great value and really know their stuff…

Over the past 20 years or so I've tried several different all seasons to get me through the southern Adirondack winter - Continentals, Sumitomo, Nokian, Yokohama, Dunlop. I'll admit I never ponied up for Michelins. Best overall tire that I settled on and used on multiple Civics and Gen5 CRV was the General Altimax RT43, now updated to the RT45. I drove all day for work and they always got me through I didn't pay attention to noise level. Of course, now there is a fairly new Severe Snow Service Rated class tire with the mountain- snow flake symbol that I don't know much about. Bridgestone Weatherpeak is an example; I'm looking at those and Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive as replacements for the OEM's on my Gen6 before the snow flies this season.

 

We used the Tire Rack data base and got Michelin Cross Climate 2's when COSTCO had a Michelin sale. Tire Rack's extensive data base said they were among the best tire on the market; absolutely agree. Buy once, cry once.

CrossClimates are good but you wanted non-directional which they are not. Also, they don't work on ice AT ALL. By today the three-peak-mountain-snowflake symbol is a joke. Not usable in actual winter condition, sub-freezing. They are okay in minor wet slush.

I picked up a set of 4 michelin xtour a/s 2 tires from Costco and i have no complaints so far. From what i've read and been told by others, they are basically rebranded defender 2s specifically for the wholesale club market, fir places like that of costco, bj's, and sams club, but don't take my word for it, as that is hear-say based on tread pattern and composition, ie Michelin will not openly say it. I was originally there to get cross climate 2s, but they were sold out nationwide (at costco) and only select stores had them, none of which were anywhere near me. Also, like someone above posted, they're directional tires, so i'm probably better off not having to babysit the techs to make sure they're rotated correctly.

My previous tires, bridgestone ecopias, came with the car, but they only lasted about 24k miles. While they needed to be changed any way since one of the tires already had two nails, I wouldn't recommend them, as i've seen numerous complaints specifically dealing with tread wear.

 

Thanks all for your feedback. I selected the Bridgestone Weatherpeaks. I'll post again once I have some mileage to discuss ride, etc. Inspection next week and found details on the SPC rear camber kit control arm and will ask the Honda dealer about what they know about this for future reference. Even with the new tires balanced and aligned, the rear is off. I got these 4 at Town Fair Tire, a large New England chain with good services and they are aware of this issue as well.
