Greetings everyone. My apologies if this has already been posted but I did look quickly and did not find anything. Anyway just received a recall notice on my 2021 CR-V. The recall concerns the seat weight sensor circuit board. Apparently it may have an internal short circuit and the front passenger frontal and knee air bags may deploy when they should be suppressed.
The recall is NHTSA recall number 24V-064. It actually covers quite a few Honda vehicles but only for 2 years.
They claim that there is a limited supply of parts so that at this time they are only doing the recall on vehicles which have an illuminated SRS indicator on the dash. Otherwise they expect to do all remaining vehicles starting in January of 2025.
