Delta Sonic will not let me go through car wash with my new CRV without taping the hood down first. Delta says there is a 2024 Honda design flaw that can allow part of the car wash to get caught between the hood and fender resulting in one or both being torn off. Have any of you experienced this? I have been in touch with Delta corporate in Buffalo and they are adamant that the hood be taped. My dealership knows nothing about this! Ideas? Info?

Where I live ours are called Sgt. Clean Car Wash. They are "brushless" carwashes. The spinning drums have long strips of a cloth type material that whips the car body. I only use them sparingly in the winter to get the grime off, but I'll keep that problem in mind.
Between the spinning drums, high pressure sprayers and high velosity air dryers, it's quite a violent enviroment o_O. The more I describe it, the more I've convinced myself to avoid it completely.

Auto-car washes are easy.....but in s-o-m-e instances they are just not worth the chance you take.

A spray nozzle on your garden hose and a soft brush with a long handle is all you really need. Yeah maybe a little more elbow grease might be needed, but it is cheaper in the long. Rainx in your windshield washer it good too....

Also you can use car "de-tailer" - get it cleaned and polished from head to toe.....but cost is about $100+
