I use CarPlay in my two Honda CRV. My 2017 is USB cable connected and works well. However I just bought a new 2026 CRV EX-L with wireless CarPlay. Siri does not work in any app Message, Amazon Music or Apple Maps when I use the touch screen . Siri stars to speak and it cut off after "what do you" I took it to my dealer and they tried to fix it but they concluded that it is an IOS issue because they tried it on another 2026 CRV with the same result. It worked intermittently with a cable. Audio commands to Siri seem to work. Hoping IOS 18.6 or IOS 26 will address this. Has anyone here experienced this issue?

Same problem on my 2026 CR-V using a newer iPhone (15 pro with IOS 18.5): audio reading text messages begins then fades out after three or four words. Oddly, it works fine for my husband's older iPhone (7 with IOS 15.7). Honda said to go to Verizon for a fix. Verizon said to go to Apple support. Pretty frustrating.

Hi, the infotainment system is very buggy, had my 2026 1 week, and seeing a 23 rogue actually had worked more reliable, not good.

Yes. We are having the same issue. I traded in my 2022 Honda CRV that worked perfectly with the USB cable for CarPlay. Purchased a new Honda CRV 2026 last week. CarPlay and CRV do not work via Bluetooth on the 2026 Honda CRV. Siri is cut off after a few words. Went back to Honda dealership and they couldn’t figure it out. First technical appointment was a month away. Spent hours on the phone with Apple Support. They couldn’t figure it out. I received an email from Apple this morning to let me know that they are still working on my issue. Glad to hear that I’m not alone in this.

Bought a 2026 CRV-EXL 2 weeks ago. CarPlay glitchy, Siri garbled. Honda link will not show up on my CarPlay display so I cannot access the My Q garage function. Did not notice there was not a place to program my garage door opener like in my 2019 CRV. Called help desk and went to service department. Was told that it is an Apple issue and waiting on Apple to provide an update to resolve the issue. Very frustrating.

The only thing that doesn't work for me is Messages. All the rest work.
Per my last reply I did make my way through 3 levels of AppleCare support after I found out that Carplay works perfectly with my wife's iphone X. After 3 hours on the phone with Apple, a senior tech did tell me they were aware of the issue and have many complaints on record. Its not just Honda. He told me that the update to address this issue will be in about 4 - 8 weeks.

I too uploaded IOS 18.6 yesterday, it did nothing. So no fix yet. I have been on the phone with Honda multiple times. Was told to go to dealership for a fix. Went to dealership yesterday and they had no idea of the problem and no fix. Said it was an Apple issue. Back on the phone with Honda yesterday to issue a formal complaint and ask Honda to do SOMETHING! Anything to push a fix to the forefront. My 2019 CRV never had any issues with CarPlay. I love the wireless feature for CarPlay in the 2026, but what is the point if it does not function properly. A fix need to happen for us all!

Apparently your EX-L does not have embedded navigation or Sirius XM which explains why there is nothing in the manual. To get those features you'll need to use Android Auto, Apple Carplay or add on devices.

My buddy picked up a 2026 CRV EX-L two weeks ago July 15, 2025. A few days ago he said his Iphone 15 had lost its Wi-Fi pairing with the Infotainment unit. By the time I looked at it to try to help restore the setting it spontaneously reconnected.

Is this the same problem as other in this thread are having, or is this a new issue?

From what I'm reading about others' experience I'm going to suggest he make a record by calling the Dealer Service Dept and describing the problem. I don't see any point to him taking the car in and sitting in the waiting room for hours unless and until there is a documented fix for the problem.

Hi everyone. I am currently working at a local Honda service center in Northern California, this issue appears to be across the board with the 26 model year CRV. There are no notes from Honda relating to a potential fix yet with this. With what I have seen so far, I am expecting Apple or Honda to release a Carplay/infotainment software update in the near future. Try to take into account that software problems should be expected with anything new, even if its not a new car you are getting, but a phone, tablet, or even something as serious as a home security system. Anything that is receiving Over The Air (OTA) updates are due to definitely be improved in the future. Thank you!

related to this issue...but not the exact issue. way back in '14....honda had the honda connect feature for their audio/nav systems in the civics EXL and above. i tried to hook up phone to the car with their cable (honda OEM accessory cable at the time). it didn't work. salesman, and sales manager both said honda is working on a fix for this. 11 years later....nothing. never updated or fixed. yes, i'm still a honda guy...but that left a sour taste with them as a feature they were touting never worked. since then, i've gone in to look at newer vehicles..and if there is a feature, i want it to work for me...at that time...with my stuff, not their stuff (i.e. phone, thumb drives, etc).

so, i wish you all luck with this issue.
