Given the noise you are experiencing, better to get the box serviced methinks.

 

I would check the axles. Some non oem axles will cause the vibration when your going 25-40. I had that issue ..Mines a 2nd gen manual

 

If it's a non OEM axle would that imply the car has been in an accident? Sorry if that's a stupid question

Hi guys (just posting this here instead of another thread as I should have done. Already been told that models can have different transmission in different countries)

My car: Honda CRV EX model 2007. 2 litre petrol automatic (UK model)

I need to have a gearbox service done and I know that I'm supposed to use CVT oil. Was also told to only use original Honda branded oil.

How much oil do I need in litres? And is there anything else I should know before getting it changed?

Also, what usually happens in a gearbox service except an oil change? I also need to change the rear differential oil too (again how many litres?) Not sure if that's part of a gearbox service or unrelated?

I don't have an owner's manual sadly.

Any clarification would be really appreciated.

Also, you do not have a CVT.

CVT's were introduced on the 2018+ 5th Gen CR-V.

Yours is a 3rd Gen model.

 

I would try to have a conversation with the honda dealership service department make sure to have all model information and Vin number

 

Yours is a regular 5-speed torque converter automatic designated as Honda H5 or in marketing 5AT. It is known to suffer from torque converter shudder and often fixable by full fluid replacement.

 

I find oem is the better choice instead of cheap alternatives
