If you don't mind, could you let us know how much they charged you when you get the differential fluid changed (code 6)? I was charged $122 (fluid and labor) and I've seen prices as high as $270

Thanks!

I was quoted about the same (118). It involves less than $25 in fluid and gaskets. The labor involves removing two plugs drain the fluid and refill. Pricey labor, IMO

Correct on HONDA and it's dealerships not giving a hoot. I have an underivable 2023 Honda CRV Hybred. I all but lost it on I95 last week. No recall ever hit my mail box UNTIL I had it towed to the dealer who I bought the car from. It's sitting there with a supposed fix for 12 February at 8AM. Strange a recall notice showed up in our mail box today the 26th of December. Gotta believe Santa dropped it off. Who knew the original steering problem began rolling out in 2023 about the time I purchased ours.
As for the possibility of becoming a fireball while driving my local Honda dealer simply said, "we DO NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THAT RECALL AND IF PARTS ARE NEEDED AT THIS TIME WE'RE IN THE DARK".
Guess there goes 35K on a true lemon……...
And on the unknown fire hazard caused on hybrid Honda models due to faulty battery connectors!

Your dealer is full of crap! The parts are available and the fix is well documented. Go to another dealer if you have that option.

Same here…had my appointment last week cancelled by our local Honda dealership due to parts didn’t arrive and ETA is within next month so I have to rebook the appointment

I guess I was lucky with my recalls then. I wonder if the part availability varies by region? (I am in AZ) That said, the fuel pump recall starts with a sniff test that requires no parts.

Most likely…instead of Honda just replacing the fuel pump recall part, they’d rather just “sniff” test it. Wish they’d just replace them rather than wait when someone smells gas or has a burning engine on the highway! Also possible that they’re just buying time given they don’t have all the parts manufactured in time ready for the replacements. By doing the sniff test, at least they can satisfy NHSTA and other governing bodies that they’re doing something about it

Had both recalls looked at two weeks ago.
There are two Honda dealers near me that I called first(neither were where we purchased the car)and and where we purchased the car. All claimed no parts and would contact me when available. None have called as of this date.
Ended up taking it to a dealer two hours from me and was in and out within an hour. If you’re having trouble with parts availability, have you tried contacting other dealers near you?

I want to make a remark on the steering box recall.
My '23 did exhibit some “stickiness” with steering. Later, I saw a video of the repair and was astonished when I saw how much Honda grease was injected into the box. It seemed like a full tube and in what appeared to be a rather small box. I’m wondering now if this recall was for vehicles that had NO grease put into the steering box for whatever reason.
Any comments?

Can you post a link to the video?

I contacted most Honda dealers in NYC. None of them have the parts for the recall. One dealer in Brooklyn canceled my appointment due to a lack of parts, and another dealer in Brooklyn set up an appointment for February but didn't guarantee they would replace the parts. I guess they may do the gas inspection instead of replacing the parts. Some Honda dealers in Long Island told me they can inspect the fuel pump recall but can't fix it due to a lack of parts.
