you might only need 30 min of that estimate (I don't think they're replacing the fuel pump unless its cracked)
Yeah, the scheduler couldn't give me any specific info about what the fuel pump service involved. I saw the post about steering only taking 30 minutes so I'm confused about why I was told 2 hours for that. Only going in for steering next week cause I don't have potentially half a day to waste and I want to see whether an odd steering "tick" I've experienced disappears.

Service Mgr that I have been in contact with states that the fuel pump parts recall amounts to a “sniff test.” There is a tool that can detect leaking hydrocarbons, indicating a cracked fuel pump. Then parts are ordered, estimate to arrive FEB2025.

My 2023 sport touring is included in both recalls.
I knew this a while ago and was told to wait for the official letter. I finally received (1) letter from Honda and it was about the steering box. The letter says to make an appointment with my dealer. When I called them, I was told that they did not have the parts needed and that I would be placed on their list to be scheduled when parts arrived. My fuel pump could be checked at the same time when I’m called in. Moved on to another dealer out of curiosity and was told that they just ran out and are expecting more parts and I would be placed on the list. My dealer failed to tell me this which tells me that they are making repairs first come first served.
Hope the steering box spring lube job recall is not a ticking time bomb.

Those of us with the steering recall, are we supposed to be able to feel or sense this issue when driving? The reason I ask is ever since we’ve had her, sometimes, not all times, I feel a little “rough” spot in the steering wheel that feels a little like a steering correction when you stray a little towards the roads divider line but not a full on shake warning like it does.

The video I watched looks like about 20 minutes, tops.
I agree with you, 20 min tops (the 24 hours is for new vehicles on the lot with less than 700 miles, different testing protocol, they have to let the vehicle run in the shop over night apparently to simulate 700 miles of use then they can test it).

I scheduled my CR-V for the first service next week and was told recall parts (for steering) would be coming in January.

That sounds like the reason for the recall. Be cautious!

The missus is taking her CR-V in on Monday to get both recalls addressed, parts are being held for the steering part, the GP recall involves a meter to test for hydrocarbon at the fuel pump. If HCs are detected parts are ordered and expected to be in FEB 2025.

I went to the dealer today for my first A1 service and was surprised when they offered to do both recalls. They said they just got the steering box parts in and that the fuel pump sniffer test could be done as well. My fuel pump passed the test so that was all that was done for that recall and the steering had the repair kit installed. They had the car for 5 hours!

Have a 2023 Sport Touring and felt the steering getting tight in September. I received the first recall in October, second in November from Carfax then Honda. Made first available appt. with dealer for December 6 for both fixes. Stated it would take 3-4 hours but was ready in 2.

And is everything fixed now?

Got both recall letters within a week of each other. Both letters say there will be a follow up letter when parts are in. Called the dealer and they verified they don't have the parts yet.
I'm in tomorrow for an A16 as part of my 2 year free oil and tire rotation. I'll see if they can do the fuel pump test at that time. 🤞

Located Sask., Canada. Received recall notices via email 3 weeks ago. Decided to call the dealer and was told they have a wait list of 50 owners for the steering issue. They don't stock the steering parts, so he placed an order for the steering parts and am in the queue for the repair. No parts yet available for the fuel pump issue, but if the part becomes available, then they will add to the steering appointment.

Did not really notice any issues with the steering, any sticky, tug issue I always related to the Lane Keeping Assist System, so who knows.
