Hi,
my 2016 infotainment system lost the 'display' button that's on the left side of the system. Can't find the darn thing anywhere :( Called Honda, they don't have them, have to buy a new head unit (lol).

Anyone happen to have an extra head unit about? Maybe you changed yours to the one without nav to get carplay?

Hey, stranger things have happened lol.

Thanks!

So, as an FYI for anyone reading this; My display button got used a lot! Every time I drove the car, I'd use the button, hold it down, to turn off the display (just didn't need the map, the radio is on the same station all the time, screen burn out, etc).

But, and here's the point, I just discovered, you don't have to do this. If you want the display off, instead, use voice command and say 'wallpaper', then set wallpaper to blank. Now the car will, if you have it set to use last screen, always switch to display off, and you can avoid possibly having the button come off, like mine did.

cheers

In the event you haven't already acquired your part .....

Have you considered visiting a bone yard ?
Not sure how they work in your part of the country but here in Wisconsin some have web sites.
And these sites list the makes and models of cars in their facilities as well as parts that have already been removed and along with the prices. (very convenient.)
Some allow you to wander around and remove the part(s) you need.
Others don't but will quote a price for the part over the phone after THEY have removed it.

If you haven't done so already, I wonder if this might be something for you to consider.

Good luck to you.
