this is the on off switch for the rear motion sensors. the round buttons in the back fender. when it's pushed in the system is on.

bumping this up. My wife has a friend who bought a 2018 CRV EX-l and trying to figure out what the button is, before finding this I assumed it was for her foot activated tailgate but she apparently does not have one as it did not work either in or out. The light does not light up in either position either.

 

for the record it is to turn on or off the audible beeping when getting close to something while backing.

 

AND, I believe this is a dealer installed accessory on the '17-'19 US CR-Vs.

as I clearly posted it is a friend of my wife's car. My guess she did not even see it when she was looking at it. I posted it was an audible alarm for when you get close to something while backing up...For all I know she bought it from a private party. she simply stopped by to show my wife her new to her car as she knows my wife has a crv as they car pool together to work. not being offensie, but just pointing it out as well....
