Cargo Net for 2024 Touring Hybrid

Just bought a 2024 CR-V hybrid. The cargo net is a tie-down style, and useless for transporting groceries and other items that I normally lug around in the cargo area. There are 4 hooks but they are all at the level of the cargo bed, and the more common vertical envelope style of net I've had in other SUVs needs two hooks at the top of the cargo area so that the contents remain upright. The vertical style allows you to deposit and remove items from the net without requiring you to unclip the hooks. Has anyone found a third-party replacement that works?

There are a couple of vinyl nubs in the right place to attach something but they won't hold anything in place.

Your CRV, so of course your choice. But I would be very cautious here, as it is unlikely there are any anchor points that will hold up to a load under the influence of movement torque in the cargo bay. Too much plastic, and you would have to disassemble the plastic panels to try to find anchor points to the metal chassis.

One of the reasons I went with trunk organizer is precisely because even the stock anchor points are not going to hold up under all loading conditions.

Literally, the only place I ever use cargo nets anymore is in our sedans (Accord, Lexus ES) which do attach close to the trunk opening and will hold any loose items you do now want rolling around in the trunk. Even then, I would never use them for groceries or any heavy items. Instead I keep a folding cargo trunk organizer stored deep in the trunk for when needed.

I have an envelope cargo net from my previous subaru. For anchor points, I am using two short (1') black bungee cords hooked through the rear seat belt mounts. These mounts have an opening that does not interfere with seat belt operation. (The child seat tether anchors are too low and too close together; the headrest supports are too high and still too close together).
