Does anyone know what size the bolts are so I can buy replacements? The OEM ones cost $17 a bolt, which is insane. So I figured why not just buy some regular stainless steel bolts to replace them. anyway looking at the end of my converter the mechanics that put my exhaust on only used regular bolts.

My issue is that my exhaust is in great condition, I don't even have surface rust on it, but the gaskets are gone and the bolts are rusted beyond reason. I want to replace the gaskets between each segment, and replace the bolts. Rock auto sells bolts for every segment except the converter to resonator bolts.

If anyone can help me out by knowing the size of the nuts and bolts I would greatly appreciate it.

If you are asking about the bolts at the after end of the converter to the tail pipe, there is nothing special about those bolts. Just get a diameter and length that will fit. Can be American or metric threads.

Make sure you use plenty of anti-seize on the threads.

Bolts are classed by hardness. Generally stainless steel bolts are graded lower than mild steel. There is a reason the OEM bolts are $17. Before using a non-OEM bolt ensure it meets the same specs as the OEM bolts. There is a reason the engineer specified those bolts. A factor could have been repeated heating and cooling over the life of the vehicle.
