hiii i have a 2004 crv EX that i bought a few months ago and had just recently learned that both the CD and tape deck dont work. The radio itself works great, but whenever i go to put in a cassette or CD of sorts it fails to run anything and wont even let me eject it (i have to fish it out with a little tool). Earlier i took the radio out to see if there was a DVD stuck in there from the previous owner but there was nothing in it. I’ve been looking around for people who’ve had similar issues but so far i’ve had no luck. Looking at this as a last resort before i go out and buy a new stereo entirely!!

You could try aftermarket cleaners. But they are a dead technology. An upgraded replacment unit may be money well spent.
