My husband just found it. Its located in the back next to the firewall. Attached pic and he is pointing to the clamp.

Air Element filter not cabin air filter got it .. lol

 

Getting the cover out of the way is kind of a pain in the ass but there are only two clips to loosen it. I'm so used to having this up front by the radiator support and not behind the engine.

Is engine intake filter shared with the non-hybrid?

On my 2017 Honda accord hybrid I got a washable K&N Engine Air Filter: along with the kit to wash it. I had hoped to be able to use the same filter in my CRV but its filter is just a bit bigger than the one in the accord hybrid.

When it comes to to change the engine filter I plan on getting the washable K&N Engine Air Filter. I’ve already got the wash kit.
