Avas help I am starting to hate this noise please somebody help. Is there way to disabled it? Anything Idea help thank in advance.
I got mine in California and the sound is so loud it makes me go crazy especially when reversing.Tried this morning. Shut of the music. Turned off the ac. Opened all the windows. Put it in ev mode. No sound other than rolling tires.
I guess the American version does not have this.
That's a normal sound for a hybrid. Just appreciate your choral accompaniment.Hi everyone, yesterday I joined the club with my purchase of a 2021 CR-V Hybrid EX-L AWD in Obsidian Blue Pearl.
I have been sitting in it and setting everything up for almost two days now and I love it.
Today however I put the car in Neutral and I started hearing a sound from under the car like a church choir chanting and angling "ahhhhhhhhh" sound.
I put the car in reverse and the sound stayed, put the car in drive and it went away a few seconds later. When I come up to alight and hit my break the angles singing come back but not as loud as before.
I thought. maybe it had something to do with the regenerative breaking system, but its doing it when I am not hitting the breaks. Nor am I using the paddles behind the steering wheel at the time.
Is this noise normal? Or is there something wrong with my new car?
Thanks!
The USA made-models have no switch, apparently other variants do.I bought 2020 CRV-Hybrid EXL in USA. It does make sound and annoying. Is there a way to turn it off?
I can hear it. It's faint but it's there. Is your window down?I just took this quick vid. I don’t hear any ev sounds.
I’ve found the easiest way to hear it is to put it in reverse as it comes right on.I can hear it. It's faint but it's there. Is your window down?
I believe this is a new legal requirement.I’ve found the easiest way to hear it is to put it in reverse as it comes right on.
I just never realized that this was an artificial noise. I aways thought it was just the gears spinning or something.
I don’t think My 2017 Honda accord hybrid made this noise.
Guess you could stuff a sock in the speaker. Or if you are handy there is just a few pop fasteners holding it in so you could probably just unplug it.I bought 2020 CRV-Hybrid EXL in USA. It does make sound and annoying. Is there a way to turn it off?
I now refer to it as my chorus of angels guiding me. lol But until it was pointed out I never even noticed it. And as I always have music on I don’t hear it anyway.Am I the only one that doesn't mind this noise?
Fair enough... it's more for pedestrians than drivers.I now refer to it as my chorus of angels guiding me. lol But until it was pointed out I never even noticed it. And as I always have music on I don’t hear it anyway.
I just purchased a 2021 Hybrid CR-V touring and when I put it in reverse I heard the weirdest sound just as you describe, it gave me the creeps and I thought something was wrong . I called the salesman at my dealership and he explained that sound it's there to let you know you are in reverse, I believe it also happens if left in neutral for a while. So YES, it is a normal function. You can go into your setup screen, select vehicle options and somewhere in the menu you are given a choice to turn that OFF..I have gotten to like it even thought it is a weird and strange sound but it makes a good conversation theme with your passengers.Hi everyone, yesterday I joined the club with my purchase of a 2021 CR-V Hybrid EX-L AWD in Obsidian Blue Pearl.

It comes on regardless of direction of travel and you cannot turn it off in American CRVs.I just purchased a 2021 Hybrid CR-V touring and when I put it in reverse I heard the weirdest sound just as you describe, it gave me the creeps and I thought something was wrong . I just went through every setting out of curiosity and did not find any way to turn it off. I didn’t wanna turn off anyway because anything that helps prevent me from hitting a pedestrian I’m good with. You can go into your setup screen, select vehicle options and somewhere in the menu you are given a choice to turn that OFF..I have gotten to like it even thought it is a weird and strange sound but it makes a good conversation theme with your passengers.
According to a previous thread, unplugging it will throw an error code and turn on a dash warning. I'm sure an 8 ohm resistor would work.Guess you could stuff a sock in the speaker. Or if you are handy there is just a few pop fasteners holding it in so you could probably just unplug it.
