Avas help I am starting to hate this noise please somebody help. Is there way to disabled it? Anything Idea help thank in advance.
Do you hear the sound in the video I posted? It sure does. In fact I think the US version is the only one where you can't turn it off.
It will stop when you hit 20 MPH or so, if you were going faster than that (which you probably were, tires don't maker much noise at 15 MPH), that's why you didn't hear it.
Nope, that's pretty quiet. Take a look in front of your right front wheel and see if you have the hole for the speaker.Do you hear the sound in the video I posted?
So that's where it is. I wonder if I could just fill it with spray foam to quiet it down.Nope, that's pretty quiet. Take a look in front of your right front wheel and see if you have the hole for the speaker.
Found it and took a pic of it.Nope, that's pretty quiet. Take a look in front of your right front wheel and see if you have the hole for the speaker.
Not only not effective, in some cases counter productive.Actually the sound is not effective as I often have to tap my horn behind pedestrians that don’t realize I’m behind them in parking lots.
It appears the subject has come up here before US Hybrid AVASSo that's where it is. I wonder if I could just fill it with spray foam to quiet it down.
But I think it's a standard 8 ohm loudspeaker. Maybe I'll just replace it with an appropriate resistor.
That was entertaining for almost 1 second. Here is someone that hacked theirs to make engine sounds.
That's what I get for trying to post before my morning coffee. I must have wacked about half a paragraph in the middle of that reply. My other Hybrid is a C-Max, and when it is in EV, and pulling out the the garage, it is amazing how much noise the solenoids in the transmission make when moving through Drive > Natural > Reverse > Park. You never hear it on most cars as the ICE is running, but between things like that, and the tires squeaking EV mode can be much noisier than I would have expected.Huh? The “s in the transmission solenoid”? What part or noise are you referring to?
This is just AWFUL!Here is someone that hacked theirs to make engine sounds.
It is so awful that I can’t stop laughing at it thoughThis is just AWFUL!
It's no different from what BMW is doing with their fake engine sounds. It is so awful that I can’t stop laughing at it though
Think nearly all Deutsche-OEMs do it....It's no different from what BMW is doing with their fake engine sounds.
And just as awful.
