Well this escalated quickly. As for the original question, you may just have to measure the cup holder then find a bottle that will fit. I’m not sure if you’ll find a 40 oz bottle that will fit. Good luck!

 

Never seen a car with cupholders that large. Perhaps some US market only cars (sometimes joked about in European car reviews).

 

Ok, I wasn’t clear, another cup holder/insert that could hold 40oz water bottle. They are all over the web, however with the CRV holder and the way it sits below a lip. Was curious what others used.

Hi Soba_03. I did something similar to what Coastie05 previously suggested.
On my 2016 EX I measured both the holder in door and between front seats.
Bought a whole bunch of various sizes; picked from those; returned others.
PS 1 year ago, I looked for inserts, etc. Found nothing.

Weather tech makes what appears to be an adapter for a 24 oz.

Yep! I was hoping to find information on what others have used. So I don’t try 3-4 before getting on that works in the 2013.
