Hi, I'm probably going to use this as my mod list for my car. The mods on my car and my plan to focus on are for drivability/driving joy and utility. So lets jump in:
  • Acuity Shifter Link Bushing - Really helps with the notchiness and feel when rowing through gears
  • Acuity Gear Select Springs - Pending, going to install these soon, and ill let you guys know how it goes - this helps with the centeredness of the gear lever, mine right now is a bit sloppy, and sometimes when shifting to the fourth gear I miss and hit nothin, this should fix this.
  • Shifter extender - I just feel the shifter is low compared to the steering wheel so I got an adjustable shift extender
  • Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T G015 - I live on the west coast and tires for all-weather / all-terrain (rain, snow, summer) is going to be easier to maintain - going to install them next week along with the Gear Select Springs
  • Roof rack with roof basket - Really good for hauling when you go camping

Mods I'm thinking about - let me know what your thoughts are:
  • Bullbar with fog lights
  • 1.5-inch lift
  • Rear exterior parking mirror - I cannot find this anywhere - I see this on CRV's on the road but I cannot find these. If you know where to get these, please let me know.

List will be updated as time goes by.

Dont do more than a slight lift. Not worth it compared.to the damage that will be done to the axles and suspension. And just no need. Can fit slightly larger tires without issues. I did a 10mm lift for tire clearance. Roof rack sounds good but kiss mpg goodbye.

The rear seats folded down there is enough room for way more than 1 person could ever need to camp. I went solo camping last weekend (usually have wife and kids and use her Pilot and our trailer) and everything fit in my v. Big cooler, big 2 room tent, bedding, rifles, mountain bike gear, chair, canopy, cooking stuff and dishes, about everything and then some. Didnt even come higher than the back seats folded up. Then had 2 mountain bikes on my hitch rack. Only reason I had a big cooler is because my father in law broke our smaller one.

My oldest boy and I went last summer, smaller cooler, out tents and so on for 2 days. Didnt even have to fold the seats down.

It seems no one wants to tell you so I will. There's an appropriate saying that was made popular not too many years ago: You can put lipstick on a pig and you'll still have a pig. What ever you do you will not get any of your money back. Worse than that, when you go to sell or trade your utility vehicle in you will have an added degree of difficulty when you find there are few people that want to buy a vehicle that not only is that old but has been modified. You will get less money for it than a person with a non-modified twin to your vehicle would get. Save your money.
