Hi, I'm probably going to use this as my mod list for my car. The mods on my car and my plan to focus on are for drivability/driving joy and utility. So lets jump in:
  • Acuity Shifter Link Bushing - Really helps with the notchiness and feel when rowing through gears
  • Acuity Gear Select Springs - Pending, going to install these soon, and ill let you guys know how it goes - this helps with the centeredness of the gear lever, mine right now is a bit sloppy, and sometimes when shifting to the fourth gear I miss and hit nothin, this should fix this.
  • Shifter extender - I just feel the shifter is low compared to the steering wheel so I got an adjustable shift extender
  • Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T G015 - I live on the west coast and tires for all-weather / all-terrain (rain, snow, summer) is going to be easier to maintain - going to install them next week along with the Gear Select Springs
  • Roof rack with roof basket - Really good for hauling when you go camping

Mods I'm thinking about - let me know what your thoughts are:
  • Bullbar with fog lights
  • 1.5-inch lift
  • Rear exterior parking mirror - I cannot find this anywhere - I see this on CRV's on the road but I cannot find these. If you know where to get these, please let me know.

List will be updated as time goes by.

It seems no one wants to tell you so I will. There's an appropriate saying that was made popular not too many years ago: You can put lipstick on a pig and you'll still have a pig. What ever you do you will not get any of your money back. Worse than that, when you go to sell or trade your utility vehicle in you will have an added degree of difficulty when you find there are few people that want to buy a vehicle that not only is that old but has been modified. You will get less money for it than a person with a non-modified twin to your vehicle would get. Save your money.
Agreed, however I don’t think I’m modifying the car to the full extent. I still want it to look stock and feel stock (except when rowing through the gears - I want the notchy feel)

nonetheless I appreciate your thoughts!

This isnt wrong. Lifted will be a loss both because the cost and the loss in value to sell it. That's why my stuff is minimal, lights themselves can be removed easily. The bull bar is popular mod so that wont hurt anything.

Tigris99 - Where did you get your bullbars and how did you get them installed?

Hi, I will be installing the new Yokohama Geolanders on my CRV and the Acuity Gear Selector Springs tomorrow. I'll take a picture of the new tires and also the before and after of the shifter play.

Got the tires installed and surprisingly they are much quieter than the Michelin Defenders.

Also got the Gear Selector Springs installed and wow, shifts are way more notchy and direct. I don't think I will ever miss a shift to second again!
