2024 CR-V EX-L
I somehow managed to back into a mailbox this morning, leaving the garnish/trim above the license plate pretty scratched, scraped, and scuffed up.
Since all of the damage is contained on the rear gate garnish, the cleanest repair would be to replace that part as opposed to paint touch-ups. The part is about $115 (Part #74890-3A0-A01ZE -- I can't post a link).
Is this a part that I could replace on my own? Or am I asking for a bunch of trouble? I'm outside of my bumper-to-bumper warranty.
My guess is that the interior gate trim has to be popped off and then the clips holding the trim above the license plate can be popped from the inside.
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
