Hello,
I need your idea on how much oil is actual need for CRV 2015.

After adding 4.8 quarts of synthetic oil into CRV 2015 engine, I realized that only 4.6-quart is needed. However, the oil level is still in the middle of the stick.

Do I need to withdraw 0.3 extra quart of oil to prevent damage to the engine?
Thanks!

I don't think you can measure that exactly and you don't know if 100% of the old oil drained out.

I would go by dip-stick. Make sure you drive the engine warm for a while (to evaporate water and gasoline in oil) and measure the warm oil maybe after 2-3 minutes after shutting off to give the oil some time run back. Make sure you are on level surface.

If you suspect any oil consumption, starting out at the top level might be best. But middle is good too assuming you check frequently and don't have big oil consumption.

I bet you can measure 10 times and get slightly different readings. With clean oil it is hard to see the level on the dipstick. it is even worse on the tranny stick.

It would take an amount of oil substantially more than half a quart to cause an issue. When I do an oil change the entire 5 quart jug goes in and shows the level perfect.
