Okay, I'll bite. What is a Bean update? I'm anxious for the Garmin update as my free update period is up on March 3rd. I would like to get one more in. While I'll agree the Google or Apple maps is a good alternative, I like the fact the Garmin maps is always there with no connections and it works well.

 

I rode motorcycles for 50 years and for a good portion of those I had a Garmin GPS. They work well except for the fact that the maps are always out of date.

Do you know that you can download mapping info from Google maps so that there is less reliance on a Cell signal?

 

I just did my second update yesterday (I drive a Canadian 2024 Hybrid Touring purchased Oct 2023) and the update was to version 1.77.124.400 dated 2024-09-26.

Has anyone actually asked Garmin via customer services ?

 

Indeed I have in the past. No need to make that call again as there are 3 other ways to check.
