Yesterday we got a call that our shower was ready for pick up. I wanted to do it with the CR-V to prove that I didn’t miss my old 2011 Ranger! 1 box was 36” x 36” and the large box was 40” x 74”. If I slid my seats all of the way up I would have 76” with the hatch closed. It was a tight ride home but we did it, with pictures to prove it...

Sounds silly, but that weighed heavily in my decision to get the CR-V. When I decided to replace my old Accord I thought back to when my TV set died. Had to get a 40" even though a couple of larger ones were about the same price because that's the biggest I could fit in the Accord.

First of all, it's good to know that you can pack the CRV this way. I have a truck for such tasks, but, sometimes more unplanned purchases pop up. :)

Off topic, where did you get your shower and what did you choose to go with? I see it's a sterling/kohler, but I'd like to see the finished project someday. I'm getting ready to redo a bathroom and need some ideas.

Very cool to see it can hold all that stuff.

BTW I noticed your using Photobucket. Did you really pay $399 per year for the ability to host photos to third party sites? Seems like an incredibly high fee.

I can’t lift anymore because of my arthritis, I have to have it done for me :(
I got 4 bids and all of the contractors told me that this is the best for its money. It was $850.00 for a 36”x36” shower from Menard’s.

One thing I noticed about the rear storage is that while it has a spectacular amount of space when the rear seats are down, when the seats are up the back compartment is actually rather small...noticeably smaller than the Nissan Rogue I had before, and I'm pretty sure smaller than my old (2008) CR-V.

I'm used to being able to put more stuff back there, so it's a minor nuisance. But I'm sure the first time I have to haul something REALLY BIG, all that nuisance will just wash away. ;)

We are in the process of redoing our master bathroom. Yesterday, I picked up our new 300 lb bathtub and a bunch of HardyBoard cement underlayment, and it fit very nicely with the back seats down. I do like the way the rear cargo deck adjusts to provide a flat surface. One of the main reasons we chose the CRV was the ability to haul "stuff", it doubles as a small pickup truck very well.
