What does your oils look like? If it milky then it’s definitely a head gasket.

 

I'm going to do my oil change next week.

 

All you have to do is check the dipstick to see if the oil is milky.

 

Yeah, if your oil is milky or if your coolant is oily, it’s a pretty big head gasket leak.

Smaller head gasket leaks may be found with a compression test done followed by a leak down test.

Alternately there are testers that find combustion gases in your coolant such as: https://a.co/d/46FLUPH

Less preferably, a radiator pressure test of some form could be considered.

 

I feel like my problem would be the Head Gasket, anyone have a similar experience or any recommendations?

At this mileage, this is not a common issue among CRVs.

Fuel injectors, maybe. Was a coolant flush performed recently?

 

I replace 4 injectors and sparks splugs last december and driving shaft last september. I didn't flush coolant recently.

 

That looks like normal aged oil in a 1.5T to me. Which does not mean there is no coolant in it, just not of the scale and severity that is reflected in your reported coolant loss.

Have the cooling system tested for leaks, as suggested above by Grpass. If coolant is seeping out anywhere, the test should show that, and then actual root cause can be pursued.

 

That does not look too bad, do you know how to swap coils or do an inspection of plugs?

 

Yes i know how swap coils but why i added 1 liter of coolant recently ? Where is my coolant, no leak detected

 

Post #5 has good info, you can pressure test it, an Auto parts store might have a loaner tool program.

You can check your carpets, heater core only other spot, usually a smell though.

 

You can also stop at a radiator shop and have it pressure tested.

 

If you place your CRV on a lift and get underneath to look from below with the lower shield off, you may be able to see if/where the coolant is leaking out.

On my former Dodge Dakota, it was leaking from the rear main seal and it was getting progressively worse.

 

Let me add another scenario while I'm thinking about it...

During your repairs, coolant was lost and tech did not re-fill, thus system "burped". Possibility?

May just need to diagnose misfire, either way, I would return to where work was performed.

 

Pull your plugs and post a picture.

If you have been burning coolant in cylinders 1&2 then those plugs will be cleaner than 3&4.

As for your misfiring, you might find out that maybe your plugs were not changed and they are just worn out.

Keep in mind that the coolant is heated past boiling when the vehicle is running. Thermal expansion pushes some of the hot coolant into the coolant reservoir, which is vented to atmosphere.

There's nothing stopping the coolant from slowly evaporating from the reservoir, which is completely normal.

All of my vehicles have needed an occasional top-off of coolant, usually every 5 years or so. One liter of coolant is about how much I have added.

I realize this is an old thread but I found a video online explaining some of the head gasket issues of the 1.5L turbo. The author explains that this applies about 80% to Accords and the rest to CRVs and Civics, but I believe the video could be of interest to some.
