I installed the horn upgrade. There’s literally no issues with it. All you’re doing is uncoupling the stock one and installing a new one. Your wife is a dumdum.
I would not call his wife a "dumdum", that will certainly make convincing her a little more difficult. Her concern is valid, she just needs to learn how the systems work..... Unless she is just looking for an excuse NOT to get a louder horn.

The factory horn is PATHETIC and Honda should be embarrassed and ashamed of what they did there. Good luck.
I always said that the car hangs its head in shame when you blow the OEM horn. The car sounds like a sissy.

You don't need to get a horn from College Hills. Amazon sells plenty of GOOD horns. Only thing wrong with them is you have to wire them in because they don't come with the Honda connectors.

Now our CRV is proud when the horn is blown.

You can do whatever you like. Just like I can say she’s a dumdum, because she is. Her concern is not valid in any way, shape, or form.

True, but the OP has to appease his wife who is reluctant to consider modification. By using a Honda kit supplied by a Honda dealer it should be easier to obtain agreement to make the upgrade.

I don't get this one. If he went ahead and replaced the horn because he thought it would make for a safer car, what would she do, refuse to drive it? Then take a cab/uber, or buy your own car.

My wife would never question anything I feel our cars need.
