I personally wouldn't buy it, and would laugh at them for trying to sell it to me. Shortly after I bought my diesel I was getting phone calls tying to sell me an extended warranty and how this that and the other is so much more expensive on a diesel, and what would I do. I just chuckled and told them I would fix it. They eventually quit calling. Extended warranties are easy money makers and there is always a catch to deny your claim.

Thanks, I almost buy the sentinel plan since it says it will cover the electronics. But the cost of $1400 for only 45k miles, is just too much !
They introduce first the Honda Service plan bumper to bumper to 6yrs/100k for $2300, which they say only cover mechnical faults, and then they introduce this Sentinel Plan at $1400, which covers oil change, electronics servicing etc. I said No to both, the finance guy doesn't seems happy ;)
I think I will look at the collegehill Honda care plan... seems like pretty recommended here. They say it's like carrying a computer on a car, so it's quite scary not to protect and prevent these electronics. They mentioned the current standard 3yr/36k miles is just for problems cause by the factory, where the sentinel plan will cover not due to the factory....

Don't

These extended warranties are not in a customers best interest. These vehicles are highly reliable. If you have concerns, take the $1400 and put it in the bank. 5 years from now, take it out and use it for a down payment for you next vehicle.

It's pure profit. Why work so hard to get the best price on the vehicle to give it all back on gimmicky add on charges?

You can get the 8 year/120,000 Honda Care bumper to bumper protection for $1,300.00. Just have receipts for oil changes and have the transmission fluid changed in required intervals and you will be find. More protection at a lower cost.
