When you had a new DPF fitted, were the error codes cleared and ECU all calibrated so that the car knows a new DPF is in place?

Because if not, thats why the error light is showing - because the codes are still there.

 

Yes, everything was cleared and made properly.

Can it be mass airlflow meter or turbo sensor etc. which has influence on calculation of mass inside the dpf ? I towed heavy load 2000kg to uphill, and the light came up in the middle of the hill.

 

Always possible, but from my limited knowledge, those two items dont usually cause an issue if a DPF has been replaced.

You can definitely rule out the DPF being clogged. Happy to be wrong, but I still think its worth resetting the ECU and clearing the codes. Thats the easiest fix. You dont want to be throwing money at MAFs/sensors if you can avoid it.

@UK-Kev @Tricky Dicky 69 - are you kind chaps able to pitch in with your extensive knowledge?

 

Many apologies but this particular Dpf issue is out of my knowledge depth. I purposely purchased a pre Dpf model to avoid these issues. Obviously I know the basics but the issue Janerik is having is not within my expertise.
@UK-Kev I am almost certain will be able to shed some light on the issue.

What were the error codes BEFORE the new dpf? What symptoms etc?
What error codes are present now? These don't have to be dpf related. Any other engine issues going on etc

1/ When you had your new DPF filter fitted was the ECU relearn conducted for a new DPF system?

2/ Has the DPF pressure sensor differential backpressure been checked? If yes, what result did you recorded.

3/ Has the DPF pressure sensor pipes been cleaned and checked for blockage?

4/ What current active error codes do you have?
