Hi, I'm new to this forum, so thank you ahead of time.

I'm needing to remove the black plastic panel from the rear hatch door (not the side doors, but the "fifth door" at the rear end of the vehicle). I can't see any screws to remove, but don't want to damage the panel by yanking on something that is anchored in a place I can't see.

In removing this panel, are there any screws that need to be removed first, or is the whole panel just held in place by push-on clips? If there are screws, where are they and how do I find them?

Thanks again very much. If anyone has a PDF or schematic drawing of this area of the vehicle, that would be great.

Appreciate It,

I have a 2007 CR-V and daughter involved in fender bender. The garnish or trim on the lower rear lift gate or fifth door was dislodged. I was able to remove it and purchased a few replacement pins. However, I am having a miserable time trying to reinstall it. I can't keep the pins aligned AND it looks like one needs to slide it up first to catch two metal tabs in the center, just below the latch. I would appreciate ANY and all insight or publications. this thread looks to be the closest I could find.. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Has anyone got to the bottom of this?

I want to remove the reverse camera and swap with another car to see if the camera is the fault (intermittent black screen, though with the yellow lines showing and then you open and close the boot and vision comes back).

I think you need to remove the inner tailgate trim and the bit of plastic on the outside.

If you remove the inner trim can you access nuts or something for the outer piece?

Many thanks

Confusing, I thought this thread was about the tailgate INTERIOR trim, but then "plastic panel on the outside of the tailgate" is mentioned ...

Anyway, regarding tailgate interior trim of generation III (2007-) :
