What type of motorcycle trailer do I buy for my 2015. I have seen the trailer attached to the rear hitch and trailers with wheels. The bike is 300lbs. I would like to spend less than 1000$.
Thanks Cor

Since your bike is rather light your application might be well suited to one of the side mount hitch style carriers. Even the more expensive ones seem to be well under $1000 and they would avoid the registration / inspection costs. Here's an example:

Be mindful of the Honda specified limits for weight on the tonque of the tow hitch. It's quite low (150 lbs for the OEM hitches), unless you move into some specialty trailer hitch setups for a CRV.

The above hitch carriers work great but when using on a back of a van or in this case a CRV, the tongue of the carrier might not be long enough for your handlebars to clear the back window.
I have used one for years on my Astro van. I had to make the tongue longer for the clearance. I’m afraid that if you had to do the same for your CRV the added leverage would make the tongue weight too high for the hitch mount.

I would buy a small lightweight trailer from a place like Harbor Freight or similar Chinese import store and use that.
