Is it a right or left hand drive? On the left hand drive vehicles it will be up under the drivers side dashboard on one side or the other. Usually near one of your knees. I'm not sure, but I think the right hand drive vehicles are in the same place (passenger side), under the edge of the dashboard. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

 

You don't list a year, but on the left had drive US version 1997-2001 CRVs the port is behind the center console where the passenger's left knee would be.

 

Thanks for the correction, Shryp. Must have confused the 1st gen with the 2nd gen I'm driving now. Come to think of it, I never had a reason to plug a scanner up to my gen 1. Never had any problems with it outside of some suspension bushings and some oil leaks.

I am from UK the car is 1999 jap import right hand drive and it's 4wd
I looked at the locations that you guys mentioned as I watched few you tube videos but no luck!
Any other suggestions? Please

Did you check both sides of the center console behind the radio where someones knee would be? It will be mounted vertically instead of horizontally.

 

I had a look at both places like you guys said I even took off the glove box and the centre lower draw there is nothing at all

 

I found another way of distracting codes by bridging a little blue plug and it comes up with code 70

 

Just a guess, behind the ashtray?

 

Just an update
I have been told now which i believe its true that there isnt an obd port on my vehicle the only way to read the codes is to bridge the blue connector
