Is the door unlocked

Maybe this is your problem?

 

Thanks but the actuators work. I can't get the door to close because the white lock won't turn because a number turned it close manually but won't open now

 

Try this Put a screw driver in it and pry it open while holding door handle open

 

Yes, need to use the door handle to release the lock mechanism and then at the same time pull or flip that white latch back open. Just like when the door is closed and you pull on the handle.

 

You need a round pin about the same size and the thing that it latches on. Stick it in the hole that is formed to the right side of that latch. And like others say have some one hold the door handle like they are trying to open the door while you pull or rather push or move the rod and white latch to the left to hopefully release it.

 

SOLVED: Apparently holding the door handle in the OPEN position allows the jam to unlock itself.

yeah, I had that happen before. I called a buddy, and he said exactly that - “pull the door handle”. To which I replied. “oh duh. I’m an idiot.” I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. Haha.
