I've owned around two dozen vehicles. I've only named a few.

I call the CR-V "CRaVy" (rhymes with gravy).
I had an Infiniti G35 named "Ashley" in honor of the saleslady at the dealership.
I call my current of three Ridgelines "Fridgeline".
I call my mom's Equinox "Squeakuinox".
A Mexican friend of mine called a Mazda B2500 I used to own "Diego".

That's all I remember right off hand.

Love viewing each and every post and reading the names.

My girl is a 2007 EX-L and because she is a Borrego Beige I called her Honey Sue (she is a honey color) or sometimes Peggy Sue. Three days after I bought her, I hopped in the driver's seat and the name Peggy Sue just flew into my head. So apparently she named herself.

Love, love, love this CR-V! She has become my very best friend. We have bonded so much by going on a few road trips (best way to bond with your car)!

She is getting ready to take me to the western desert of Texas, which will be about a 1400 mile trip. She is rearing to go. We will ride into the western sun together.

What a girl!

Humm...We just had our 2016 CR-V touring for a few months and less then 2500km so we are till looking she has not showed her personality yet but our 2004 Element with 403 000 km is the "Beast"

I just bought my girl two weeks ago, and I haven't completely decided on her name.

I traded an 05 Civic EX-SE for my CR-V, and she was named before I drove her off the lot. Black Betty- after her color and my grandmother.

My CR-V has so far just been "Vi," but I've been trying to feel out what her full name would be. Vivian? Victory? Just not landing on anything that feels right.

I've batted around Evie. She's a gray 2014 EX-L so the E for the trim level and V for being a V.

Part of me feels like I should continue the naming after songs, so Jolene keeps coming to mind too. But that's a far cry from the "Vi" she's been thus far.

Like the commercial on tv these days I'm naming ours "Brad". Also because Brad is the guy who hooked me up for the purchase of our 99 Ex :)

Thinking about naming it either:
"Junior" (replaced a 05 Pilot with 251K miles!)
or
"BC" for Bug Collector as it does collect them. Windshield is had to get the residue off.

Charley the CRV...

Mothra

I am calling my Mothra, you know like the larva from Godzilla. Green and ugly lol. Painted wheels to match they grey molding, added roof bars and cargo basket. Need to tint windows as I carry equipment for caving, canoeing, camping, shooting, hiking, bugging out, survival you know just the basics of everyday adventuring. And of course my Dingo Blue Heeler has her spot also She is in it every time I'm in it like American Express card I never leave home without her. ( not all gear at once or all time) Just some all time.
.

Has anybody picked a name for their car yet? We've always named cars in our family. I tried to resist, but my mother told me she would call my first car, a white '98 Chevy Prizm (rebadged Corolla), "Petunia" if I didn't come up with a name. (I picked Harold.) Also in the family stable (current and former):
- Rosie; the red and white '77 VW Microbus that was our primary car growing up. (She lasted (albeit on her 3rd engine) until she was 22 or so.)
- Tuffy; an '85 Civic wagon, also while we grew up. Got the name because the squeaking blower wheel sounded a little like a mouse, for which Tuffy seemed like a good name.
- "Jane Car"; my wife's daily driver when we met. A '98 Hunter Green Accord; so named because it was so generic-looking, and there were a million of them on the road.
- Hans; the '04 Passat Wagon that replaced both Harold and Jane.
- Jed; my wife's '97 Jeep Wrangler.
- Roxie; the car that replaced Jed; a bright red '06 Solara Convertible.

You get the idea...

Currently in the running for my Obsidian Blue EX-L are:

- "'ol Blue" The nickname for the kid's gun in A Christmas Story. We've never owned such a full-featured car before, and it's feature list seems similar to the long list of benefits in the Red Ryder 200-shot Carbine Action Range-Model Air Rifle (And the car certainly has a compass (albeit in the dash) and this thing which tells time!)

- Christine: After the eponymous car in a long-ago Stephen King horror novel which could drive itself (we are both pretty impressed with the ACC/LKAS/CMS/BSM/etc. in the CR-V), among other things. It eventually went on a murderous rampage, Because Stephen King. It could also repair itself, (even body damage!) which could certainly come in handy!

Out of those, I'd pick Christine. Not for me, because, well, I'm Kristine and that would just be weird, lol. Haven't come up with one myself...still considering. Should name it soon, though, before my son does and it gets stuck with the name Hulk or something similar.
