I have a 2015 honda crv touring and I've been having intermittent starting issues with a code saying keyless start issues, I read other forums where it's usually push start stop button. I was going to replace it myself because it looks fairly easy. But I was wondering will new button or key fobs need to be programmed or will everything just work automatically like a plug and play

Yes I've tried both fobs and still same issue and also had diagnostic done. They said it could either be battery or push button. The code has been on dash for about 6 months but car would start fine, but when you clear code it would come right back. Just started having the intermittent starting issues for about 2 weeks now so I belive the button is going bad and I've read other forums where other honda owners have had the same issue just don't know if I would have to program button if I replaced it

sorry for the late reply. life has been crazy busy. don't buy a push button yet try taking out the Push Button Assembly & see if the connector does not have any corrosion. Spray some contact cleaner see if it restores it back. But if not you will not need to reprogram the Push Button Assy. I have attached a video.

I hope this helps. Let me know.

Be sure you only buy OEM Honda PB Assembly.

Hondapartsnow.com is a good place to get online parts

This video saved me a great deal of money! I had the same issues. I replaced the battery, fuse, relay button R3 in the driver compartment fuse box. The issue remained: Intermittent stop start issues. I purchased the part new via Ebay and followed the instructions on this video and the problem was fixed. Now my CRV starts with a single push on the button. If I took my car to a mechanic most likely I would have been charged 400 to 500 $ to fix the problem. Fixed for 70$!
